sunset was taken in the summer of 2006 as the first monsoonal moisture
of the season was streaming into the Mojave Desert from the south. This
photo was shot near Phelan by an exhausted photographer who was near
the end of a 900-mile, one-shot trip from Eugene, Oregon, but who couldn't
resist setting up the tripod for one last photo.
