The Prickly Poppy (Argemone munita) flowers can be delicate and beautiful
with a look of lace, a contrast to the plant's spiny leeaves and buds.

There are many of these flowers now in Summit Valley. Just go a few miles west of Lake Silverwood on Hwy 138 to the Country Market and turn right on Summit Valley Road toward Hesperia. After about 100 yards there is dirt road. Turn right and park immediately Prickly Poppies may be found all throughout that field as you walk south and east back toward the 138.

Another single flower.
