this photo was taken in Southern California. People constantly ask me
this when they see this photo of Mill Creek rushing out of the San Gorgonio
Wilderness Area in the San Bernardino Mountains. The snowmelt comes
all the way down from the 11,500-foot peak of San Gorgonio Mountain,
which is the small, rounded cap in the left middle of the photo. I spent
time as a trail patrol volunteer in this beautiful wilderness area.
