Beavertail Cactus (Opuntia basilaris) has a dozen flowers in full bloom
and another two dozen on the way. The Yellow Pincushion (Chanactis glabriuscula)
surrounding this Beavertail Cactus makes this a nice desert bouquet.
This photo was taken in Summit Valley in California's Mojave Desert
in spring 2005, which was an unusually wet year in the high desert,
creating awesome desert floral displays.
