Bradford Ridge Path
by Lee Reeder

These photos were taken on Nov. 18, 2007 along the Bradford Ridge Path, which was heavily impacted by the Pinnacles Fire two years ago, but is coming back nicely.

The fall colors were past their prime, but looked great when backlit by the sun. I encountered running water in this creekbed, along with some shallow quicksand/quickash, even in this very dry year.

Fairly fresh Bobcat tracks mean that the ecosystem is working fine from top to bottom along the Bradford Ridge Path, even after two years of fire and drought .

Wooly Daisies are blooming in the driest part of the year.

This place is beautiful no matter what the weather brings.

The great volunteers here show at once by this sign that they a great love for this place, but not necessarily for all the creatures that pass here. However, they do have a sense of humor.
