Today I learned of the death of Rosalind Pinney Rambus, someone I once loved and never forgot. She lived in the Mojave Desert at the time of her death in February of this year, not far from the Poppy Reserve. I met her 30 years ago this spring sitting in a tree staring at me and making me really nervous, but in a good way.
I went out in the Mojave today in Summit Valley to gather these flowers for her with my camera.
Sleep sweet, Rozie.
