Bradford Ridge Path Area Above Deep Creek
Photos by Lee Reeder, February 13, 2010

These photos were taken at the creek near the Bradford Ridge Path,
northwest of Lake Arrowhead, California, in the San Bernardino Mountains. I don't know the name of this ephemeral stream, but it was mighty today with runoff and snowmelt. This stream originates in The Pinnacles, then flows into Deep Creek which flows into the Mojave River.

This stream rocks!

The stream near the trailhead off of Hwy 173 just before it drops over a 150-foot series of falls.

Part of the first fall.

A backbone--something you need to keep with you on this hike. Saw a big buck and lots of mountain lion, bighorn sheep, deer and bobcat tracks. I have seen sheep and mountain lion on previous trips here.

A wild, 30-foot waterfall in a cataract halfway down to Deep Creek.

Lots of rocky watercourses here.

I love this stream.

I wanted to take this rock home but it was too big.

Just a nice spot.
